Wahid Aziz
Wahid is a UAE-based entrepreneur, best known as the CEO of small-business-focused domain registrar and web hosting provider tasjeel.ae.
After graduating from the University of Hertfordshire with a BSc (Hons) degree in Multimedia Technology, Aziz progressed through several product management roles and held positions at household names in the web services sector, including Web Fusion, 123-reg, and GoDaddy.
On leaving GoDaddy, Aziz co-founded the UAE-focused domain registrar and web hosting site FunkyCamel.ae. The first-year performance of the brand enabled Aziz and his business partner to acquire tasjeel in 2018.
During the span of three years, tasjeel transitioned from selling .ae/.emarat domains, with a single web hosting package, to providing 100+ domain extensions. The company's suite of easy-to-use solutions now includes a website builder, cloud hosting, WordPress hosting, Dubai web servers, premium domain names and more.
As a self-proclaimed small business 'super fan', Aziz has positioned tasjeel to support entrepreneurs and start-up owners seeking a digital presence at a price that represents value. He developed a wealth of information through his tasjeel blog, providing a go-to resource on digital marketing for UAE SMBs, a segment he is passionate to support.
tasjeel means 'registration', and the tagline of the company highlights the importance of people's ideas: we register great ideas. Today, tasjeel is renowned as a disruptor in a previously static sector, with Aziz enabling such growth by providing individually tailored advice and customer service to those looking for a web hosting provider in the UAE.
